Overview
The Asset Creator for Events (ACE) tool was developed to make it easier for event marketers to create the digital communications and physical signage they need for a successful event. The tool enables anyone to create brand-approved event collateral without special software or design expertise. Print-ready PDFs with production specifications are automatically generated and can be shared directly with agency partners or local print shops for fabrication.
Strategy
Events are one of the primary channels where we can present a unified IBM to our external audiences. ACE is designed to help marketers build brand relevance, consideration and demand through prioritized and focused event collateral. The automated, self-service tool simplifies event execution and scales efforts to create brand-ready content that aligns with IBM’s strategic focus on AI entry points, use cases and domain and industry outcomes. A future enhancement will add product-level options so assets can be generated representing the entire IBM portfolio—from awareness to demand generation—based on the type of event being supported and audience expectations.

Messaging
Using consistent and clear, cross-IBM messaging is key to strengthening how IBM shows up in our events and experiences. ACE is organized by topics that align with the IBM AI and hybrid cloud integrated strategy. For each topic, event marketers can further tailor their content by subject, headline and vertical industry. This approach gives marketers the flexibility to customize messaging for different events and industries while also reinforcing IBM priorities and brand messaging.

Formats
ACE is designed to support IBMers and agency partners in producing the most common event collateral. Digital assets, such as email banners and social tiles, and physical signage, such as easel signs and lightboxes, can be created in the tool. The selected formats are the most commonly used at events and were chosen based on input from IBM event marketers. Additional sizes or format may be added as necessary. Use the input form to share your requirements.
If you need to make small adjustments to the format you selected, you can edit the PDF with Adobe Illustrator. We recommend doing this only for minor alterations; do not use files to create entirely new assets.


Design
ACE includes a collection of brand-approved artwork that has been linked to various headlines depending on the topic and subject. For example, IBM Partner Plus has specific artwork associated with it, as do several product and technology offerings like IBM watsonx, IBM Granite or IBM Turbonomic. The tool also contains brand artwork that can be used across any messaging. All visuals have been vetted and all visual options the tool offers for a specific headline may be used.
